Kedarnath, nestled in the majestic Garhwal Himalayas, is one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites for Hindus. It is part of the Chota Char Dham Yatra and is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Kedarnath Temple, situated at an altitude of 3,583 meters, is surrounded by breathtaking snow-capped peaks and offers a spiritually uplifting experience. The journey to Kedarnath involves a challenging trek through picturesque landscapes, making it both a physical and spiritual adventure.
Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and holds immense religious importance. According to Hindu mythology, the Pandavas sought the blessings of Lord Shiva here to atone for their sins after the Kurukshetra war. The temple is believed to have been built by the Pandavas and later revived by Adi Shankaracharya.
